There are a lot of sports that involve water. Aquatic fitness is a great way to support the body and reduce the risk of muscle or joint injury during exercise. Exercising in the water produces less stress on your joints when stretching and can allow for greater range of motion! Through continuous cooling of the body exercise in water can also prevent overheating. Your workout may incorporate one or more of the following water sports equipment and accessories such as flotation belts, specialized water aerobics shoes, flotation devices, & ankle and wrist weights. Exercising can be done with music in water tempo, or without.
